D-2 학생 비자를 소유하고 있는 모든 유학생은 소유하고 있는 비자가 만료되기 전에 반드시 연장해야 합니다. 비자 기간 만료 후 연장 신청을 할 경우 연장이 거절 되거나 최소 10만원 이상의 벌금이 부여될 수 있습니다.

■ 비자 연장 주의사항

1. 학생비자 과정별 최대 연장 가능 기간은 아래와 같으며 휴학기간 역시 최대 연장 가능기간에 산입됩니다.

  - 학사과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 6년

  - 석사과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 5년

  - 박사과정 : 입학인 기준 최대 7년

  - 석,박사 통합과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 8년

2. 외국인 유학생 체류 지침 상 유학경비는 반드시 해외에서 조성되어야 합니다. 이를 확인하기 위하여 최근 출입국 사무소에서는 은행잔고 증명서 뿐만 아니라 송금 확인증 또는 입출금 거래내역서를 추가로 요구하는 경우가 많습니다.

국내(한국)에 있는 친구 혹은 지인으로부터 돈을 빌리거나 불법적인 외환거래로 현금을 입금하는 일을 삼가 주시기 바랍니다. 적발 시 비자연장 불허 사유가 될 수 있습니다.

3. 인천출입국사무소는 100% 예약 운영제 사무소로 예약 없이 방문 시 민원서비스가 불가할 수 있습니다. 아래 사이트에서 방문 예약 후 방문해 주세요

D-2 Visa(Student Visa) should be always effective and valid while you are studying in Korea. Therefore, you should apply for visa extension before the visa expires. The penalty fee(KRW 100,000 Min.) will be charged to a student who fails to extend the visa before expiration day.

■ Important notes

1. Students must check the maximum extension period for D-2 Student Visas.

   (Academic Break will be included into the maximum extension period)

 - Undergraduate Program : Maximum 6 years from the date of entry

 - Master's Degree Program : Maximum 5 years form the date of entry

 - Doctoral Degree Program : Maximum 7 years from the date of entry

 - Combined Master's and Doctoral Program : Maximum 8 years from the date of entry

2. Recently the immigration office check the origin of this money. If you can not prove that it was given from your home country, than you can not get an extension. Therefore, please do not borrow a money from your friend who is living in Korea only for your VISA Extension. It could cause serious problems.
