*본 정책은 법무부의 <외국인 유학생 사증발급 및 체류관리 지침>에 따른것임

국제처 국제지원팀에서는 유학생 비자(D-2) 최대 연장 가능 기간에 대해 안내드리오니 참고하시어 학업에 지장이 없도록 하시기 바랍니다. 

We would like to provide you with important information regarding the maximum extension period for D-2 Student visas in accordance with Korea visa policy. Please ensure that you are aware of these guidelines to facilitate your sutdies in Korea without any distruption. 

1. 학사과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 6년 (예, 2024년 1학기 입학시 2029년 2학기까지 학업수행 가능.) 

- Undergraduate Program : Maximum 6 years from the date of entry 

  (e.g., If you entered in the 2024 Spring Semester -  visa extension limit : 2029 Fall Semester) 

2. 석사과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 5년 (예, 2024년 1학기 입학시 2028년 2학기까지 학업수행 가능.) 

- Master's Degree Program : Maximum 5 years from the date of entry

  (e.g.,  If you entered in the 2024 Spring Semester - visa extension limit : 2028 Fall Semester) 

3. 박사과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 7년 (예, 2024년 1학기 입학시, 2030년 2학기까지 학업수행 가능.) 

- Doctoral Degree Program : Maximum 7 years from the date of entry

  (e.g., If you entered in the 2024 Spring Semester  - visa extension limit : 2030 Fall Semester) 

4. 석,박사 통합과정 : 입학일 기준 최대 8년 (예, 2024년 1학기 입학시, 2031년 2학기까지 학업수행 가능) 

- Combined Master's and Doctoral Program : Maximum 8 years from the date of entry

  (e.g.,  If you entered in the 2024 Spring Semester - visa extension limit : 2031 Fall semester) 

*주의사항 : 

1. 휴학기간도 최대 연장 가능 기간에 산입 

2. 최대 연장가능 기간 초과시 사증 연장 불가능

3. 반드시 휴학 신청 전 본인이 해당 기간내 졸업 가능 여부 확인할 것 

Notes : 

1. Academic Break will be included into the maximum extension period.

2. Exceeding the maximum extension period will result in a visa refusal.

3. Before applying for an academic break, Please make sure you can gradudate within the period.
